Micah & Annie // Engaged || Enumclaw, WA

Micah & Annie are dear friends to me. I am very blessed to get to witness their love story unfold, and then recently watch Micah's proposal to Annie. These two braved the freezing cold for these shots- they were troopers!

Max & Rachel // Wedding

My dear friends got married on October 2nd 2016.  I was not the main photographer- so you will not see any ceremony/couple or family images here. I had a really good time playing photographer, and getting to be a part of Max and Rachel's special day.

Enjoy a few of my favorite snapshots.

Sorensen Family Session // Dahlonega, GA

I've known the Sorensen family for several years- some of them weren't even born when I met them! It's been a privilege to get to document Tom & Celia's sweet family (multiple times!) I hope I will be able to again. ;)

Alexis + Steven // Engagement // Puyallup, WA

Alexis & Steven were an amazing couple- and amazing models! I found Alexis through a Facebook page we are both apart of. Alexis is from GA- like me! When we first met, she came up to me, giving me a big hug and she was full of smiles! It was great to talk about the south and old stomping grounds of ours. I could really tell she was a GA girl when I asked her if they would like to sit on top of a fallen tree because she immediately agreed. Alexis & Steven were one of the kindest couples I have ever encountered. My short time with them inspired me, and made me want to continue this crazy job called, "photography."

Thank you so much, Alexis & Steven! I really had a wonderful time with you guys!

P.S- You can see some of Alexis's awesome wedding videography work here!

Minna + Keegan //Couples shoot / Buckley, WA

I had the privilege to "shoot" a special couple recently.  My session with Minna and Keegan was super fun! They were so at ease and cool with anything; even when I asked to take a picture of their feet! There was lots of laughing and adventuring around Buckley looking for the right light. When I first arrived to the location, it was pouring down rain. I said a quick prayer asking for sunshine, and the minute they pulled up it was clear skies and sunshine! After we packed up and started to leave, the rain came down again.

Minna and Keegan, thank you so much for such a fun day! Y'all were so much fun to be around, and I thoroughly enjoyed our session.

It's always fun getting to see people you care about start on a new journey.
My dear friends announced their "togetherness" a few weeks back, and I couldn't be more happy for them.
Congratulations (again) Micah and Annie!

Mark + Jennifer || Wedding|| Sumner, WA

Mark and Jennifer decided to tie the knot on a sunny November day in Sumner, WA. It had been raining most of the week, and lots of prayers were prayed, hoping the weather would be nice.

I met Jennifer when I was seven or eight. It was a brief meeting at a McDonalds in KY. I was more interested in playing on the playground at the time, but I remember a quick exchange, and then I was off. I never thought for a second I would be photographing her wedding more than ten years later!
It was a privilege to be able to shoot and be a part of their special day.

Thank you, Mark & Jennifer!
The Winsome Grace was a perfect choice for Mark & Jennifer's venue.
Jennifer asked A Wink and a Smile to do her makeup for the day.
Jennifer and Mark wanted their parents to be a part of their first look. I love this shot of Jennifer's dad coming in.
Their first kiss!
Jennifer wanted a generation shot with her mom and grandmother.
Mark sang a song that he had written for Jennifer.

The End.

Anna ||Portrait Session|| Enumclaw, WA

Anna and I met at church when I was very young. I think she was three, and I was six. I don't know if there was ever a doubt in either of our minds that we wouldn't be friends forever. Here she is, a gorgeous seventeen year old. I had the privilege of doing a stylized shoot with her last week in Enumclaw.
The afternoon was way hotter than either of us expected, and we didn't know we were shooting in the sketchy part of Enumclaw (maybe alleyways weren't the best idea). But we had a great time, and I am thrilled with the results.
Thank you so much, Anna!

Max + Rachel Couple Portraits || Enumclaw, WA

A little over a year ago, I met Max and Rachel. They weren't together at the time, but at the end of last year they announced to our group of friends and family that they were now together, amidst lots of claps and whoops from us all.
I have done one other photoshoot of them since they got together, but another never hurts.
They are a pretty cool couple and one that I think is role model worthy.
Thank you, Max and Rachel, for letting me capture your love on camera!

Matt + Ashley Anniversary Shoot || Enumclaw, WA

My sister and her husband Matt got married six years ago. Upon their third year anniversary, I had entered the world of photography, and asked to photograph them. Now, on their six year anniversary, I photographed them again.

Matt and Ashley met at Kroger. She was in the pharmacy, Matt at the cash register. Ashley never gave him a second glance, mainly because he was still in high school. But Matt gave her lots of glances. He had a tendency of flirting with her when he saw her. Ashley left Kroger for a little while, and moved onto the hospital. After a couple of years, and Matt transferring into the Kroger Pharmacy, their paths crossed again. Ashley rejoined the Kroger pharmacy, and their story started to unfold. They had been dating a few months before the 'M' word started popping up. Ashley came over one day to talk about rings and see my mom's collection. My mom still had my great grandmothers ring. Ashley really liked it. Not long after, it was sitting on her ring finger and we were planning a wedding. Within a month of their engagement, Ashley attached his name to hers.

I love you Matt & Ashley! Thanks for letting my capture your love on camera!

Sarah- Portraits || Bonney Lake, WA

Sarah is not only destined to be America's next top model, she's also my friend. We met in church, and then grew up together. When I moved to WA state, she and her family moved out here too. She has always been a deep thinker type of person. She's always ready to lend an ear to my ramblings. When I started getting into photography, she was one of my main models. Me oh my how we've both grown. We spent the other evening together snapping photos like old times. I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you Sarah, you are loved.

June Summer

This summer is a whirlwind of projects, growing and learning. Between starting up two business, starring in one film and directing another + two trips from family members, this month is already going by super fast.

The other night was the first time my family and our friends went swimming. It was the usual chaos, as we all tried to fight for the one raft and have standing contests. Afterwards we hopped in the back of the truck and drove around looking for film locations. It was hot and sticky, and I seem to have a multitude of bites. We traipsed around the mountain side and took pictures of pretty flowers. Some of us were still wet from our swimming adventure. Lots of pictures were taken and lots of laughs shared. Stories were tossed around the wind as we sat in the back of the truck. To end the night right, we went to McDonalds for ice cream and fries- because that's the best combination.

So far, this summer is treating me right.

Summer June 2015

This summer has been filled to the brim, and it hasn't even officially started yet. My weeks at work are now numbered, and I'm looking forward to a free summer. It gives me more time to focus on out of state family flying in, or big film projects or restarting my photography business + starting another. This summer looks very big and I couldn't be more excited.
I'm in the process of re-branding, hence the new blog design and lack of posts.
But I am going to try and post more consistently, especially this summer.
